About Me
I began quilting in 1984 after a long background of sewing and garment making. After several years making traditional quilts, I changed my focus to art quilts, experimenting with new techniques and using alternative materials. Technology plays an important role in my quiltmaking: digital photography has led me to an interest in translating portraiture and events into representational quilt works. I have had quilts exhibited around the world. I enjoy dyeing, discharging and screen printing fabric and creating my own surface designs.
In 2006, I began taking formal art classes at a local college. I have yet to meet a medium I don’t like. Currently, I am studying oil painting, watercolor and egg tempera.
